Kappa Gamma Omega proudly offers scholarships to high school seniors who will be attending college following graduation.
Scholarship Eligibility Requirements:
The Kappa Gamma Omega Chapter Scholarship is available to students who transfer as full time status to an accredited four-year college/university. Applicants must meet all the eligibility requirements and deadlines to qualify. A personal interview will also be required. Scholarship awards must be applied toward tuition, educational equipment, fees or books. Eligibility for scholarships requires that the applicant:
- Be a graduate of an accredited high school on the Monterey Peninsula with a GPA of 2.5 or above with a copy of an unofficial sealed transcript in support of the GPA.
- Participate in an oral interview conducted by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. (you will be notified of the date and place).
- Be registered in an accredited 4 Year College or University by the start of Fall 2025.
- Obtain three (3) letters of recommendation submitted along with the application (one must be from a High School Counselor or Teacher and excluding relatives).
- Show a financial need.
This application must be completed online and include copies of all additional application materials. Sealed hard copies of official transcripts should be sent by mail by before the application due date, to the following mailing address:

Disclaimer: Late submissions and applications with incomplete and/or missing application materials will not be accepted. Scholarship awardees will be required to submit proof of enrollment in classes at an accredited college or university for the Fall 2025 before scholarship funds are dispersed. Failure to enroll in classes or submit sufficient proof of enrollment will result in the awardee forfeiting the scholarship award.
We are now accepting scholarship applications. The due date for this year’s scholarship application is April 15th, 2024.
